No. Our aim is that the decision is made with a clear head rather than at the peak of an argument, and that whatever the outcome, both sides keep their dignity and the children keep their relationship with both parents. If a marriage cannot be saved, a mediator helps you part with dignity.
Russian is the main language. Some specialists also work in Tatar, Kazakh, Azerbaijani and Avar. Each specialist's card lists the languages they work in.
Consultation records are stored securely and are accessible only to your specialist. We do not pass your contact details to third parties and do not use them for mailings without your consent.

Both at once: our specialists are practising psychologists and mediators working within Islamic ethics. The Institute's method combines professional psychology with the norms of sharia.
The price depends on the specialist and the format: an online session is usually cheaper than meeting in person. The exact cost is shown when you book, before any payment. Many of the Institute's materials — courses, assessments and checklists — are free.
No. This is a separate project for people who are already married or preparing for marriage deliberately. Zawajy is a matchmaking service; Mawaddah Institute is an education and counselling organisation.
Yes. What is discussed in a consultation is not shared with third parties, including relatives, without your consent — except where the law expressly requires it.
No. Our specialists work as psychologists and mediators, guided by Islamic ethics. Questions that require a sharia ruling — the validity of a divorce, for instance — belong to the mufti's office, and we refer you there.
There is no fixed number. In the first meeting the specialist helps you define the request and tells you roughly how many sessions that kind of work usually takes. Some questions are resolved in one or two; a crisis takes longer.
Yes. This is one of the most common situations, and working on your own still helps: when one person's behaviour changes, the dynamic between you changes too. We will not pressure your spouse to join — participation under pressure usually does harm.
That is not an obstacle. We do not assess how religious you are and set no conditions. Religious norms are taken into account exactly as far as they matter to you.
Yes. Each specialist's card lists their focus, city, languages and format — choose whoever you feel more comfortable with. For many women this matters, and we consider that a perfectly normal preference.
